Best Primer to Use With Glidden Furniture Paint


This post has been a long time coming.  After all these years of creating paint color palettes, I finally took the fourth dimension over the concluding few weeks to research and pull together my favorite paint colors for furniture revamps (several of these are awesome cabinet colors too).

There are so many fantastic colors for painting furniture and it was then hard for me to go my listing down to 16 colors.  I narrowed downwardly the list based on current color trends in furniture/blueprint and the well-nigh versatile colors (mix of warm/absurd tones). Most importantly, I picked colors that were across the lath consistent and looked good on multiple different piece of furniture revamps that I was able to observe.

So let's spring into the palette:

Then today's post is ii-fold; 1) I wanted to share these great colors for painting furniture but two) I also wanted to share with yous some of my favorite paint tutorials from some awesome bloggers. Many of the colors in today's palette we're based on blogger projects, and so below,  you tin can see examples of these colors in action.  Many of these projects have a tutorial with awesome stride by stride instruction on their techniques for how they painted their pieces. If there is a detailed tutorial, I note it below the prototype with the link.

I'm breaking the colors downwards below by Whites, Neutrals, Bolds and Darks and I am not featuring all of the colors in the palette to proceed this postal service from being too long;

White Paint Colors:

For a truthful white with very petty to no undertone, my favorite is Decorators White from Benjamin Moore:

If you're looking for a true white with just a very slight hint of warmth, White Dove from Benjamin Moore or Benjamin Moore Merely white are beautiful. These are likewise popular trim and cabinet colors because they're extremely versatile and pretty much works with anything:

Neutral Pigment Colors:

Krylon spray paints accept come out with spray chalk paints that I am loving right at present and they accept a fantastic choice of neutrals. Y'all can read all nigh those paints hither.

I of the most versatile neutral paint colors out there is Mindful Gray from Sherwin Williams.  Information technology's nearly perfect because it has just the right balance of warm gray. Mindful Grayness is an all-star colour considering information technology always looks gorgeous on furniture, cabinets and walls because information technology has a near perfect rest of warm/cool tones.  I honey this color so much that I want to show you several examples:

You can actually hands see that cute balance of warm/absurd tones of Mindful Gray in my arts and crafts room where I painted the cabinets in this colour:

For a very low-cal gray that leans cooler and has less warmth than Mindful Gray, Manhattan Mist from Behr is a beautiful rich color:

If you're looking for a slightly darker and libation grey, Timber Wolf from Benjamin Moore is a cute gray for article of furniture (bully cabinet color too):

I also love the cute rich blueish grey color chosen Eclipse from Benjamin Moore. Eclipse is another all-star that looks amazing on anything including cabinets and furniture:

 The Bolds:

Coral is ane of the most popular colors right now for article of furniture and Ardent Coral from Sherwin Williams is a gorgeous coral and this is such corking example of the color from Sarah M. Dorsey Designs:

Emerald light-green is really trending right now for furniture and Pine Odor from Behr has go a blogger favorite and rightly so, it's perfection. Merely look at this gorgeous green from my friend Amanda Carol:

Mint is also popular right at present and one of my favorite shades of mint that is subtle but gorgeous is Sweetness Pea from Olympic paint, which I first discovered on Love Grows Wild:

I personally am loving magenta right now but I love it within drawers or as an accent similar this amazing revamp project from Funcycled using the color Crushed Berries from Benjamin Moore.  Crushed berries is a beautiful magenta:

Another favorite magenta is a color chosen Glamorous from a great bazaar article of furniture paint line that I love to use called Velvet Finishes.  I have used Glamorous inside drawers:

Darks:

For a good true black with very little undertone, Benjamin Moore Black is ane of the best blacks out in that location.  Chris from Just a Daughter has a fantastic tutorial hither for how she painted this panel below using Ben Moore black:

For a good true navy, I love Hale Navy from Benjamin Moore.  However, Rainstorm from Benjamin Moore is a beautiful blue with a warm undertone that is very versatile and gorgeous:
